Hello, my name is David Congdon and I look forward to using what I have learned over many years of providing therapy to help you build on your special strengths to accomplish the goals you seek. It is my mission to provide you with a safe, friendly and positive experience while serving all your counseling needs and working with you through your healing journey. My work is always based on listening carefully to your wants and needs while working on accomplishing your goals. My work with post-traumatic stress begins with one basic premise, trauma is never the fault of the client. From there, we move on to working with you to always have a sense of safety and taking back control of your life the trauma has taken away.

My work with post-traumatic stress begins with one basic premise, trauma is never the fault of the client. From there, we move on to working with you to always have a sense of safety and taking back control of your life the trauma has taken away.
I treat most counseling and psychiatric problems. I always use approaches that are extremely safe for you, are built totally around what you want to accomplish, and provide extensive support for you. You are not alone in this journey, and I look forward to having the opportunity to provide the support and clinical expertise you deserve. I am here for you and have an orientation to be there with you in the difficulties you are experiencing. I see patients of all ages. In addition to solution focused trauma work, I am an accomplished family therapist and use mindfulness based cognitive therapy to promote progress. At the same time, I have a vision to the future where you will feel much better, based on you using the special strengths you have to accomplish the goals that are important to you. I am also a qualified supervisor for licensure candidates for LCSW and LMHC licensure. I am happy to work with you online using a secure HIPAA complaint platform to help licensure candidates achieve their goals. My approach to supervision is based on the licensure candidate developing a sound theoretical approach in counseling and becoming a truly therapeutic person in work with patients. As in my counseling work, I provide extensive support and work to build on the strengths of each candidate with whom I work.
